Aerodrome control licensing course delivered by Civil aviation training center of Kingdom of Thailand has organized in Mongolia to provide local airports with the necessary human resources. In December of the last year, 16 students were selected to work at local airports after successfully completed of this course as an aerodrome controllers. The first part of the training was held online between 10 January and 14 February, the second part of the internship training starts today and will last until May 27. Upon completing this course the students will be given aerodrome controller certificate from the Civil Aviation Training Center of the Kingdom of Thailand and will work at local airports.
According to the government resolution № 455 of 2019, Buyant-Ukhaa Airport is determined as an international and domestic , general purpose, charter, emergency service and special duty flights, and aviation training activity. In this context, delivering this course first time in Mongolia, the government resolution to use the Buyant-Ukhaa Airport as an alternate airport and training center, has been officially implemented.
During the opening of the training, P. Munkhjargal, the director of the National civil aviation center, said, “It is a great opportunity for Mongolian young generations to study the profession of air traffic controller at lower cost in their home country. In the past we used to study in Thailand, but now this great opportunity open us to study in this internationally recognized aviation course at our home country of Mongolia. Delivering this course in Mongolia is cost effective in which a person used to spend about 50 million MNT to study in Thailand and acquire a specialty, but this amount is reduced to 15-18 million MNT by delivering in aviation training center, NCAC”
Teppibuun Chinaporn, the Senior instructor of air traffic controller training of the CATC of the Kingdom of Thailand, said, “Civil aviation has always put the safety first. Therefore, we have been preparing for this specialized training for a long time. We are really appreciated for the Mongolian aviation training center instructors and staffs for their great endeavor for preparing this confident and comfortable learning environment that qualified all requirement of this course. We are confident that our training for young aviation professionals will be effective and high quality”
T.Bilguun, the trainee of the course, said, “I am glad to be selected as one of the trainees in this valuable training course in Mongolia at this difficult time of COVID 19 pandemic disease. We are also required lot of responsibilities and efforts. So I will study hard”
The Aviation Training Center of MCAA has created an environment that meets the requirements of this training and has prepared simulator and classrooms. The training is conducted by the instructors of the Civil Aviation Training Center of the Kingdom of Thailand according to the standard training package 052.
